In Cyprus

A month after Boghos arrived back to Cyprus, he took part in a Youth Exchange organized by the same organization that sent him, Emili and Andreas to Trikala. NECI EU had a program titled “Prevention of Sexual Risk Behaviors”. On April the 11th, Emili had the opportunity to visit Paralimni, the city where said Youth Exchange took place.

On this date they had the opportunity to disseminate and present what the three learned back in CET Hellas’ “Virtual Facilitators” to a group from a variety of countries such as Lithuania, Serbia, Poland, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.

During the dissemination they taught what they learned during their time in Trikala, such as the powerful tools of social media as well as the technologies that powered online classes, workplaces, meetings or other such projects during a time where a global pandemic was taking place.

Moreover, they also spoke about not only the advantages tools such as Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex had, but also the limitations they presented. E.g., Microsoft Teams lacking when connected to lower-end internet and how the iOS and Android versions of Zoom were lacking compared to their PC and Mac counterparts.

It was interesting for the audience because “Virtual Facilitators” was one of the rare projects that actually addressed the alternate world we lived in for the past 2 or so years. In fact, the audience were quite keen on joining upcoming Erasmus+ projects, likely because for a majority, it just happened to be their first time on such a project. Hopefully they are to apply to some of CET’s upcoming projects:)
